The first two pictures could be examples of the kind of colors I would like to use for the background. I could either make the colors dark like the first picture or colorful like the second picture. Either way I think I would be able to set a somewhat dark tone for the art piece.
When I first heard my groups idea for the project (have a hand holding whatever we think is corrupt) I was immediately reminded of wallmasters from The Legend of Zelda (third picture). I wouldn't copy exactly what the hand looks like, but it gives me the idea of making the hand for the project look inhuman. I could make it look as though what it's holding is turning it into something monstrous.
The fourth picture is another hand. I'm thinking of how the hand for the project should be positioned. The hand will most likely be harder to make if it were positioned like the one in this picture. It could look good though.
The fifth picture is another example of a possible background color. I may need to figure out exactly what will be in the foreground before I decide on a background color.
The sixth picture is an example of surrealism. There are a few ideas that this picture gives me. It seems as though I don't have to make the hand exactly anatomically correct.
The seventh picture is another example of surrealism. It gives me another idea of how the hand should me positioned. There is a possibility that I could make two hands.
Picture number eight is an "Uncle Sam wants you" poster. while trying to figure out what should be in the foreground, I thought I could have the hand hold something pertaining to the draft during the Vietnam war. I may need to change my idea though and focus on something that is a bit more current.
The last two pictures are more examples of surrealism. There is a possibility that the project could have a sort of surreal look to it. Although the look of the project will most likely depend on what I decide on what the subject will be. If the theme of our project is corruption then surrealism might actually fit. I just have to figure out what should be placed in the hand. It has to have something to do with corruption and it has to be current.
